Reduce Side Speed and Spin with TaylorMade's M3 Driver

TaylorMade M3 Driver

The new TaylorMade M3 features a unique multi-curved face design which TaylorMade is calling “Twist Face”. It is a radical departure from traditional driver-face design, engineered to take your ball farther and straighter, right down the center of the fairway.

The M3 driver also features a new Y-Track, which offers two seamlessly movable weights, allowing golfers to adjust the settings for optimal trajectory, maximum forgiveness, or raw speed. The M3 driver’s adjustability accounts for nearly 1,100 possible settings which means that the two weights can achieve a setup that makes the M3 feature the highest moment of inertia (MOI) for a movable weight driver in the company’s history.

TaylorMade’s third generation of drivers uses its multilayer carbon-fiber and titanium construction on the crown and the soles, which allows more weight movement. Another important feature on the sole is a wide slot that is supported by beams that creates three zones TaylorMade calls “Hammerhead.”

It creates a massive sweet spot that enhances ballspeed and forgiveness across the entire face. That slot is 22 percent wider than the previous sole channel on the M2 driver last year.

The M3 driver, also includes a 440cc version to appeal to players who favor a smaller appearance at address for increased workability.

The M3 drivers come in 8.5°, 9.5°, 10.5° and 12° lofts in the standard and 9.5° and 10.5° in the 440cc.

The rest of the line includes upgrades in the adjustability to the fairway wood due to a smaller weight screw which allows the sliding track on the carbon-composite-crowned M3 fairway wood to be located slightly forward of where it was on the M1. The combination helps to yield shots with better ballspeed and lower spin.

The M3 fairway woods come in 15°, 17° and 19° with an adjustable hosel that changes loft by plus/minus two degrees.

The M3 Rescue hybrid is available in 17°, 19°, 21° and 24° lofts, with the plus/minus two-degree adjustable hosel.
