Mitsubishi continues to innovate with its FUBUKI V-Series shafts. They feature stainless steel mesh technology which they refer to as the power ninja core. Incorporating a layer of ultra-thin yet strong steel webbing, it is integrated into the core of the shaft. According to Mitsubishi, the mesh acts as a truss, adding strength and minimizing shaft deformation in all directions.
These shafts also feature I.S.T.—Impact Stabilization Technology—to control variable stiffness in the lower third of the shaft. I.S.T. enables Mitsubishi to minimize lag and rebound through impact, delivering more effective control and greater power transfer at impact.
FUBUKI V-Series shafts are designed to deliver a mid-launch with low spin performance. Cosmetically, they feature an ion plated tip section with a premium finish that cannot be achieved by just applying paint. Each shaft is put into a vacuum chamber where chrome or silver alloy ions are fused to the shaft. It’s a more costly, time consuming process but it creates a striking finish that is worth the extra time required. Shafts are available in 40, 50 and 60 gram weights.
