Aldila Introduces New Weights and Finishes

Aldila recently introduced its next generation NV and NVS shafts. Devoted fans needn’t worry; they still deliver the same great performance, but their cosmetics have been enhanced and improved.

Since early 2003, Aldila NV Green/NV Pink shafts have been among the most popular aftermarket shafts, scoring numerous victories on the professional tours. They feature a constant taper design that delivers a smooth, stable feel shot-after-shot.

NVS Orange/NVS Pink shafts, higher-launching complements to the NV Series, also feature a new cosmetic look, providing the same trusted performance consumers and tour professionals worldwide have come to expect.

These shafts are bolstered by Aldila’s NexGen Micro Laminate Technology (MLT), utilizing more than 20-layers of ultrathin, aerospace-grade prepreg, a reinforcing fabric which has been pre-impregnated with a resin system. This resin system (typically epoxy) already includes the proper curing agent. As a result, the prepreg is ready to lay into the mold without the addition of any more resin, which helps eliminate unwanted gaps and dead zones that can occur during the manufacturing process. MLT enhances feel and helps reduce inconsistent shots caused by shaft variability. The updated cosmetics are designed to appeal to a more global audience.

NV Green/NV Pink shafts are tip-stiff, lower-launching and lower-spinning to create an optimal launch for better players. Aldila NVS Orange/NVS Pink are tip-soft, higher-launching, higher-spinning shafts that create launch characteristics for players seeking a higher ball flight.
