CBX Fairway Wood

The Exotics legacy is renewed with the all-new CBX fairway woods as independent test results prove them to be among the longest, most powerful on the market today.

The CBX fairway wood design alters the club’s center of gravity (CG) to manipulate initial launch angle and velocity, also reducing the amount of spin the ball will have on release. The precise engineering creates a spin-killing distance machine.

When Tour Edge engineers introduced their first Exotics fairway wood, they created new benchmarks for distance and power in a fairway wood. The CBX Exotics has once again taken distance gains to another level to bring unprecedented power to your game. The engine of the CBX fairway is a Beta Titanium cup face that is combo-brazed (a weldless process) to a hyper-steel body. The fairway wood features variable face thickness for added power and added forgiveness on off-center hits.

The carbon sole weighting moves mass forward for lower spin. The longer toe-to-heel and shorter front-to-back head shape optimizes performance while the higher CG location minimizes spin. The result is a low spinning, exceptionally versatile fairway wood capable of delivering amazing distances and performance.

The CBX fairway wood can be custom fitted at Club Champion in four lofts; 3 (13.5°), 3 (15°), 4 (16.5°), and 5 (18°) in right hand only.

CBX Hybrid

Tour Edge also announced a brand new hybrid that recently debuted on the PGA Champions Tour. The new Exotics CBX hybrid integrates new technology designed to push the boundaries of low-spin distance combined with tour-inspired feel and workability. Based on initial feedback from some of the games best players, the CBX hybrid is a versatile, powerhouse with exceptional feel.

The CBX hybrid was sent out early to the PGA Champions Tour and was immediately put into the bags of several players, ultimately earning a second-place finish at the Senior Players Championship.

hybrid cbxIn development for over two years, the hybrid is designed with multi-material construction that includes top of the line Beta Titanium, Hyper Steel and Carbon Composite. This unique combination produces a penetrating ball flight that cuts through windy conditions and lowers sidespin rates for greater accuracy.

The super thin Beta Titanium face is combo-brazed to the heavy hyper steel body without welding for exact weighting tolerances. Highlighting the face is the Exotics variable face thickness technology for added forgiveness on off-center hits. The thin and thick compartments on the face are strategically positioned for optimal forgiveness even on off-center hits.

The Carbon Composite sole allows for perfect weight distribution. A carbon sole unit moves mass forward for a precise CG. The higher CG location minimizes spin for less spin, more distance and a Tour-preferred penetrating trajectory. The result is a low spinning, exceptionally versatile hybrid capable of delivering tour-level distance and performance.

Cosmetically the CBX hybrid is beautifully modern featuring a strong black finish without any alignment marks. The Tour-preferred shape is exceptionally timeless and inspires confidence on every shot. The CBX hybrid is available at for custom club fitting at Club Champion in 16°, 18°, and 20° models.

CBX Iron-Wood

As a leader in hybrid and Iron-Wood advancements, Tour Edge introduces a remarkable hollow iron design in the all-new Exotics iron-wood. The CBX features a ground-breaking, high-tensile steel L-cup face design. This feature pushes the classic iron-wood design to provide maximum forgiveness and explosiveness off the face. Delivering powerful distance with minimal spin, the CBX Iron-Wood takes aim at players who want hybrid performance combined with the feel and workability of a traditional forged iron design.

The L-cup face dramatically increases the Characteristic of Time (CT - or rebound rate) across a greater surface area of the clubface. The bottom of the "L" acts as a hinge allowing the entire face to flex at impact, not just the center of the sweetspot. To further enhance the club's rebound off the face, the CBX Iron-Wood combined the L-cup face with a hollow-style body that improves perimeter weighting and forgiveness.

The L-cup face is forged from HT980 steel. This revolutionary combination of technology and material delivers the USGA maximum-allowed CT. According to Tour Edge, the CBX Iron-Wood is the first hollow-style iron to achieve this maximum rebound benchmark! This makes the CBX one club stronger than a similarly lofted iron and makes it a great replacement for hybrids.

The CBX’s unique rounded sole brings a hybrid-style into the design, while the heavily beveled leading edge glides easily through any turf. It allows for perfect weight distribution and maximum forgiveness.

The CBX Iron-Wood is available in either a traditional silver finish or the limited edition black pearl finish and comes in four lofts; 2 (17°), 3 (19°), and 5 (25°) in right hand only. Get a custom fit for CBX Iron-woods at Club Champion today.
